Have you filed a FAFSA for the 20-21 academic year?

All domestic, institutionally funded Candler students are required to complete a FAFSA as a term of their scholarship. In order to apply for the Candler Forward Emergency Fund, you must have exhausted all funding options available including applying for federal loans. If you have not, yet, submitted your FAFSA for the academic year, you can continue with this application if you apply for the FAFSA and attach a screenshot of your FAFSA conformation to this application.

Have you borrowed and accepted the maximum amount of loans offered for the academic year?

The Candler Forward Emergency Fund is intended to assist students who have already exhausted all available funding options. We recommend contacting an Emory graduate loan advisor to request that your loans be reinstated or increased for the fall semester. You can reach the grad loan team at gradfinaid@emory.edu.

Have you applied for assistance through the Emory Together Fund?

The Candler Forward Emergency Fund is intended to assist students who have already exhausted all available funding options. Please apply for assistance from the Emory Together Fund here. Once you have submitted a request to the Emory Together Fund, you may return to apply for the Candler Forward Emergency Fund. Please note, you may be required to provide documentation.

Did you apply for assistance through Emory's Hardship Fund during the fall 2021 semester?

The Candler Forward Emergency Fund is intended to assist students who have already exhausted all available funding options. Please apply for assistance from the Emory Student Hardship Fund here. Once you have submitted a request to the Emory Student Hardship Fund, you may return to apply for the Candler Forward Emergency Fund. Please note, you may be required to provide documentation.
